Get the right id card holder for your event
If you’re a student or an office employee, or simply someone who is being required to wear his or her ID for a long time during the day (or night, whichever the case may be), you need an ID card holder. Believe it or now, it’s actually a necessity that you have this if you wear an ID at all. Surely you know that no ID can come as just an ID; it must have that little clothespin-like thingie attached to it by default. But who wears those nowadays? Now you might say, “Well, it’s no big deal what I attach my ID to my clothes with, whether it’s a piece of string or a safety pin or a used dental floss (apologies if you are by any chance dining), as long as it is presentable and conspicuous! You can buy one as a neck band with a leather pouch for you to place your ID in—this will make you look like those law enforcers or detectives you see in the movies. Or you can have the holder itself in plastic or vinyl for a modern, more youthful look, with a lanyard attached to it to wear around the neck. If you work in an office where you need to swipe your ID to enter doors or perform any similar action that requires you to unpin it if you were using the default clothespin-like thingie, a badge reel will work best for you. No need to unclip or unpin anything; just pull your ID and swipe it or bring it close to a detector or something, let it go and it will return to its original position where you pinned it, like a fish being reeled to the fishing rod (hence the name).
With all these choices and the variety of color and even customization you can do with them (personalize the lace by pinning beads to it, etc.) there will certainly be one that is to your liking. And advantages! Of course there has to be an enumeration of the advantages! Obviously you get to wear your ID, which is the whole point of you reading this article, but you can do so stylishly and with more safety. The regular pin? If you’re wearing a neckband or a lanyard, anyone trying to snatch it would have to drag you with him or her as well, through your neck, if he or she really wants to acquire your ID.
